Drama Classes

During term time we run classes where young actors and film–makers learn to act, devise drama, work behind the camera and make films.

The drama classes are open to all young people between 8 and 18 years old. We split groups into Juniors (age 8–11), Seniors (age 12–15) and Advanced (Age 16+).

Students can choose to work in–front–of or behind–the–camera (some do a bit of both!).

All newcomers are welcome and no experience is necessary. We frequently find that people with no experience are more natural on–screen than those who are experienced theatrical performers. Whoever you are, and whatever your level, we promise to give you skills and experience on–screen and behind–the–camera.

Our courses are designed and delivered by professional teachers, professional actors and professional film makers, allowing us to to give you the best training with real industry experience.

Each term is delivered over 10 weeks of rehearsal, with a shoot planned on one day over the following school holidays. The final films are premiered in local cinemas and entered into film festivals worldwide.

In each of our drama classes, young people learn a variety of film acting skills and acting techniques, suited to working in film and TV. By the end of each acting course they will have used their new skills in the creation of a new short film.

The classes have a high practical content and are very well suited to young people who prefer hands–on learning. They encourage confidence, freedom, controlled risk–taking, creativity and self–directed learning.
